So, the launch. We arrived at 46 Great Titchfield Street, just off Oxford Street, to be greeted by the lovely Kathryn (who kindly invited me), and two free handsets – my Android dreams came true! We wondered down the stairs that were topped with leaves, a very Autumnal theme, to a smallish room filled with bloggers and the like. We arrived just at the end of the intro speech from some top dogs at Wileyfox (I assume), and headed straight for the bar.
They were dishing out their own Wileyfox brew – blonde beer, pretty good. Lucy started up her phone and had a play whilst I was standing staring at the hot dog stand. Even though the hot dogs were tiny, they were greatly appreciated.
Having now had a chance to play with the phone, it’s rad. Considering it will retail for around £160, I can’t find anything I would be overly disappointed with, the only qualm I have with it is the buttons being on screen rather than along the wasted bottom section of the phone. From an avid iPhone and Apple fanboy position, I was sceptical about using and Android phone, but I’ve got the thing set up as my work phone now and I have probably used it more than my own phone this week.
If you want to find out a little more about the Swift 2, check out the Wileyfox site here.
[All these snaps were taken on my iPhone 6s. I was invited to this event and have not been paid to write this post, the phone was just a perk of going along!]
