Last year, Lucy and I visited the wonderful and glorious National Trust property that is Fountains Abbey. We had an absolutely amazing day out exploring and soaking up the spectacular grounds and abbey.

Now, this is what you call a delayed blog post. We visited Bourne Mill back in the September (of last year now!) and it’s taken me until now, January 2018, to actually get around (find the time) to write any form of words about it. It’s been a crazy 7 months since my last post, I promise.

So, call us old fogies, but Lucy and I signed up to become members of the National Trust the other week. So far, best decision we have made. After watching Downton Abbey I couldn’t help but have the desire to go and snoop on some stately homes. Melford Hall was our first stop.
