I ended 2017 knowing that I wanted to become more mindful. In terms of my finances, my behaviours, my actions and so on. So 2018 is going to be The Year of Mindfulness.
Now, this is what you call a delayed blog post. We visited Bourne Mill back in the September (of last year now!) and it’s taken me until now, January 2018, to actually get around (find the time) to write any form of words about it. It’s been a crazy 7 months since my last post, I promise.
I had no intention of throwing together a post about my trip to Guernsey with Lucy, alas I snapped a few pictures on a number of wintery walks, and thought I’d share them on here.
Thomas & Evans No. 1, fresh, zingy and bloody delicious. For a non-alcoholic beverage, this stuff is the crème de la crème.
This Bearded Life. I’m a bearded man, so when I heard about the release of this book I jumped at the chance to get a copy early – it is now out and available from most good book stores. It’s full of tidbits, snaps, beard facts, a beardy calendar and some snazzy photos & design – what more could you want?
“Neviditelný (Jaroslav Havlíček) is a Czech novel by Jaroslav Havlíček. It was first published in 1937.”
A quick google search tells me. I discovered that most of Jaroslav Havlíček’s novels are psychological, generally focusing on young men and women and their relationships in extreme conditions. I have no idea what this specific novel is about, alas this art work is too striking to not share.
