I saw in 2018 in Guernsey in the company of my wonderful girlfriend, Lucy, and two of our pals; Heather and Conor. Drinking wine and eating cheese – how very middle class.
Now, this is what you call a delayed blog post. We visited Bourne Mill back in the September (of last year now!) and it’s taken me until now, January 2018, to actually get around (find the time) to write any form of words about it. It’s been a crazy 7 months since my last post, I promise.
For Lucy’s birthday this year, I wanted to do something a little bit different and fun. Fortunately her birthday fell around one of the jousting events at Hedingham Castle.
I had no intention of throwing together a post about my trip to Guernsey with Lucy, alas I snapped a few pictures on a number of wintery walks, and thought I’d share them on here.
So, call us old fogies, but Lucy and I signed up to become members of the National Trust the other week. So far, best decision we have made. After watching Downton Abbey I couldn’t help but have the desire to go and snoop on some stately homes. Melford Hall was our first stop.
